What this is, and is not

A light LMS, deliberately

This is not a full learning management system, and we would rather say so plainly than let you find out after migrating. There is no video hosting platform, no proctored assessment engine, no course marketplace.

What it is: a place where an enrolled student can see their lesson content and submit assignments, and where a parent can check fees, attendance, results, report cards and certificates without calling the office. For most schools and coaching institutes, that is the portal they actually needed.

Is this a full LMS?

No, and we would rather be direct about that. It is a light LMS: lesson content and assignment submissions for enrolled students, inside the portal. If you need video hosting, proctored assessments or a course marketplace, you will want a dedicated LMS alongside SCRMAI.

Do parents need to install an app?

No. The portal runs in a browser. Parents who want it on their home screen can install it as a PWA, but nothing requires an app store download.

Can we control what parents can see?

Yes. Role-based permissions are fully configurable, and results and report cards are released on your schedule rather than being visible the moment a score is entered.
